What is missing is information regarding issue of Declaration of Conformity, this has been delegated to RO/Class,

The NMA will authorize the RO/Class to issue the Declaration of Conformity, as specified in Chapter 5 of the Guidelines for the Use of Electronic Record Books under the BWM Convention (MEPC.372(80)).

With reference to the invitation in MEPC.372(80) to apply the Guidelines at the earliest opportunity, and to prevent a potential surge of approval requests from shipowners around 1 October 2025, the NMA has notified its ROs that, effective 27 June 2025, they may proceed with the approval of electronic BWRBs and issue the corresponding declarations on behalf of the NMA. So, what is required by ship and Ship owner.

Switch to new format according to MEPC.369(80) – Go to Settings / Ship and tick in the box

Ask RO/Class to issue DoC for Ballast Water Record Book as outlined in MEPC.372(80).

If you have DoC issued by DNV for MARPOL Record Books it should be sufficient to submit attached compliance statement and  Type approval certificate that cover MEPC 372(80) and MEPC369(80). DNV might require that you provide an updated Installation checklist that cover MEPC.372(80) if so contact Support.
